Click-To-Call Emergency Information Now Available On Google Mobile Search

Well, it looks like those innovators at Google are using their 20% again.  It’s small functionality yet can be extremely useful in a time of need, especially those with curious up and coming children in the household.  Google has announced, via their Mobile Blog that they have added emergency contact numbers in respective searches for centers such as for poison control and suicide:

In November 2010, we began displaying relevant emergency phone numbers at the top of the results page for searches around poison control, suicide and other common emergencies in 14 countries. Today, we are making it even easier for you to quickly reach the help you may need by adding click-to-call capabilities for all of these emergency information search results.

So, now the all too familiar click-to-call functionality we’ve been seeing on Android, will now be available for emergency information as well.  Sounds like a no brainer right?  Let us know what you think of the functionality in the comments below.
