Lenovo LePad Hits FCC With the Name “Skylight”

So Lenovo has abandoned the “LePad” name in its tablet lineup, and we can’t honestly say we’re sad about that. The Lenovo Skylight has shown up at the FCC for certification, and it specs match exactly those of the LePad, so we can be relatively certain that they abandoned the original name in favor of something with a better ring to it. The Skylight has a 10.1-inch display, Snapdragon 8650A processor, Android 2.2, and 1GB of RAM. No word on a release date or price, but seeing it at the FCC is always the first step. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you informed.

I hope they bring the LePad name back, was really great. For me with a last name of LeCoq, a LePad just would fit perfect :P

Well, it launched in China on Monday, will be in the shops end of week, under the name 乐Pad (pronounced LePad) where the Chinese character means happy, enjoy).
Incidentally, they also have a 乐Phone (LePhone) on the market.
