Black Friday is still a few days away, but some companies just can’t wait. Take Google, for instance, discounting its Google Home and Google Home Mini devices in the UK, bringing them firmly within the Impulse Buy zone with savings of £50 and £15 respectively.
The regular Google Home is reduced from its normal price of £129 to just £79, well under the psychological £99 barrier and represents a saving of £50 which is not to be sniffed at. The newly launched Google Home Mini (review coming soon) is usually priced at £49 but is now discounted to just £34, becoming an instant ‘impulse buy’ thanks to the £15 saving.
Considering that you can now use the Google Home and Home Mini as an intercom on your house, as well as all the other functions that Google Assistant offers, now is a great time to jump on the bandwagon. For that matter, why stop at one? Put a regular sized Google Home in the lounge, and a Mini in the kitchen and each of the bedrooms to give you all-around coverage.
It’s unclear how long the promotion will run, and for the moment at least, it’s limited to the UK. If you’ve been on the fence about buying a Google Home or Google Home Mini, or if you’ve been stuck for ideas about Christmas presents for your gadget-crazy partner, it’s time to decide. At just £34 for the Home Mini, and £79 for the full-sized Google Home, with free delivery included, there’s never been a better time to jump onboard the Google Assistant train.
