The Aivia speaker combines a tablet, a wireless charger, and big sound system

Have you ever wanted a loud speaker with a full Android tablet baked in? Probably not, because you’ve probably never even thought of something like that up until now. Don’t worry, we haven’t either, but Aivia has.

Aivia is running a Kickstarter campaign for a speaker that’s secretly the best end table companion you could ever ask for. It’s primarily a speaker, but it also has its own set of apps and storage that can act totally independent from your phone. Sound quality is obviously front and center, but there’s a ton that this little gadget can do.

And yes, it’s a touchscreen. It’s running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the Play Store, so it supports most Android apps and automatically searches all of your music apps when you ask it to play music. So you can use it wirelessly to play music around the house, but if you need to make a quick Google search or check Instagram, you can do that, too. Or, hey, Netflix. That’s cool, too.

The Aivia speaker is portable in case you want to take it out of the house, and the top doubles as a wireless charger for any compatible phone. The 10,000mAh battery is rated to last for 5 hours of audio playback with 10 hours of standby time.

If you want to get in early, you can back the Kickstarter project for a discount on the speaker before it actually ships next year.
