Much of Google’s event was spoiled over the past couple weeks, but the Google Home Max hasn’t been fully revealed until now. The Max is a supersized Google Home speaker that wants to bring all the great features of Google Assistant to a massive speaker that can fill your room with sound without breaking a sweat.
The Max features dual high-excursion woofers, custom tweeters, and a slick design that blends in with your decor.
It still packs all the normal Google Home speakers, but you can playback music from Google Play Music, Spotify, and other music services, one-upping Apple’s HomePod that only works with Apple Music.
The Google Home Max will be available in black or white sometime in December for $399. It will also come with 12 months of YouTube Red/Google Play Music, although that promotion will likely only work for new subscribers.
