Optoma is a company known for quality audio and video products, and their latest foray into the market is the NuForce Be Free8 headphones. It’s a mouthful to say, but these headphones aim to be completely wireless and compete with the likes of Samsung’s IconX and Apple’s AirPods.
It’s a lofty goal to step into a market dominated by Apple and Samsung, but Optoma has enough audio experience to be a serious competitor. These earbuds feature dynamic drivers with proprietary Sonic coating, a comfortable 360-degree earbud tip, a unique near-field magnetic induction instead of Bluetooth to cut down on spotty connections, and four hours of battery life.
They’re also compatible with Google Assistant and feature an IPx5 rating for enduring workouts and the weather, but are they worth the $149 price tag? Kent digs into the high-end headphones to find out.
