[Deal] HTC takes $130 off the U Ultra, $200 off the 10, and that’s not all

The U Ultra, 10, and Bolt are all participating in HTC’s Kick Off to Summer event.

These are the deals:

If you’re searching for a new phone, think heavily before buying any of the three offered at a discount. The U Ultra and 10 weren’t favorites of ours, and the Bolt is essentially a tweaked 10 that isn’t much better. The prices for all them aren’t comparable to phones with similar specifications; therefore, it looks like a skip unless you’re an HTC fanboy who needs a phone but doesn’t want the U11. Force us to recommend one for you an we’d say the 10 is the safest choice.

HTC says the special pricing goes away at 12:00AM ET on Thursday, June 29.

Why htc 10 was not ‘favourite of yours”?

    • Justin_Herrick

It didn’t feel truly competitive with other flagships, like the Galaxy S7 and others.

      • Goran

One year later ask owners of both who is more satisfied with their phone. 10 does less, but does it all better. It’s an htc phone, you reviewers forgot what and who htc is. Apple, Samsung and Google…all you guys know.

        • Justin_Herrick

We’re well-aware of who and what HTC is. We’ve reviewed every flagship phone they’ve released for 5+ years.

          • Goran

Yes you did. Very “objective” in manner of pixel review objectivity. Most of you are so forgiving for others, richer manufacturers. Try to use same standards for all.

            • Justin_Herrick

Look at our LG G6 review. Talk Android has a strong relationship with the people their, but we weren’t exactly kind in that review.

            • Goran

When I see same standards in reviewing Pixel, iPhone and Galaxies in same manner as with htc 10 or G6, than I could respect reviewer. And no, pixels were never best android phones as never once one Nexus was in the past and are plagued with many problems, same as iPhones and Galaxies. And grossly overpriced. But you are letting them go easy.

            • Justin_Herrick

You’re going off-topic. Tell me where Talk Android is doing HTC a disservice.

            • Goran

              The begining says it all
“If you’re searching for a new phone, think heavily before buying any of the three offered at a discount.”
The only thing missing is go for the best android phone pixel. Is pixel better than HTC 10? Pixel might be the best…midrange phone. But it comes for a flagship price. And lacks so much for one.

            • Justin_Herrick

Now you’re pivoting. Nowhere did we talk about the Google Pixel in this post. Stay on-topic. We recommend other phones over the three discounted here, and HTC fans should definitely choose the U11 over them.

If you’re a big HTC 10 fan, that’s cool. No one is taking away your allegiance.

            • Goran

I am htc fan. Not only 10. And anyone who knows just a bit, knows well that there is no perfect phone in this world. Every manufacturer has some strong aspects and some less strong or even weak. Just, I am tired of unfer criticism of some, and artificial praise of some. Call the things by their real names. For all of them.

            • Justin_Herrick

I never said there was a perfect phone. The problem you’re having here is that, frankly, there is no problem. Preferences are totally fine. If we were slamming HTC (or any other company) unreasonably, I’d want to know. But you’re not showing me any example(s).

            • Goran

When I find the time, I’ll be glad to point all the facts. But, hope introduction for mentioned 3 companies, especially Google phones, will be as proper as one for htc:
If you’re searching for a new phone, think heavily before paying for asked price for these phones.
