The BlackBerry KeyOne was one of the better devices we saw at MWC this year, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be able to get our hands on one this month. BlackBerry CEO John Chen announced that while the phone was set to start production in April, you probably won’t actually be able to get yours until May.
There wasn’t a ton of reasoning behind the delay, but one of TCL’s execs stepped in on Twitter to clarify that since TCL was manufacturing the device they wanted to be 100% certain that they would have enough supply to meet demand. That’s good news, since they’re anticipating solid demand for one of the first physical keyboards we’ve seen on an Android phone in ages.
At least it’s not a huge delay, either. Waiting’s no fun, but what’s another few weeks?
