[Deal] T-Mobile slashes the Gear VR’s price by 50%

A major U.S. carrier is knocking the price of Samsung’s virtual reality headset by 50% for a limited time.

Retailers in the U.S. currently sell the Gear VR from Samsung for $99; however, T-Mobile is running a special promotion that cuts the price in half. Right now, T-Mobile is offering the virtual reality headset for just $49 and it’s eligible for a monthly payment plan as well.

Because this is the Gear VR for devices featuring USB-C ports, you’ll need an adapter to use one of the previous Samsung flagships. The Galaxy Note 7, which was pulled from the market in 2016, was the company’s first to use a USB-C port. Other phones, like the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, use a micro-USB port. So, unless you plan on waiting for the Galaxy S8 this spring, remember to utilize the included adapter to connect your phone’s micro-USB port to the USB-C port on the Gear VR.
