‘Fire Emblem: Heroes’ from Nintendo is now on Google Play

It’s time to summon your heroes and save the Kingdom of Askr! Nintendo has released their second game on the Android platform, Fire Emblem: Heroes, and it is now starting to rollout on the Google Play Store.

Join us after the break for more.

Fire Emblem: Heroes, which is a popular strategy-RPG, has been re-imagined for mobile devices with touchscreens and support for on-the-go gameplay. In the game, to drop yourself into a universe where the Emblian Empire and the Askran Kingdom battle it out for total world domination.

Strategic turn-based battles will let you summon familiar Heroes from the various Fire Emblem worlds as well as brand new Heroes created by artist Yusuke Kozaki. Touch and drag controls will bring an intuitive gameplay to your smartphone and there are several interesting modes to choose from.

In addition to the main battles, you can strengthen your skills with battle scenarios in the Training Tower that grants various rewards and character experience. Arena Duels will let you battle against others around the world, and Hero Battles are limited time scenarios where you can attempt to sway a foe over to join your team.

Fire Emblem: Heroes will be free to play, but comes with an in-game currency system to allow you to purchase additional heroes or give gameplay boosts such as replenishing the stamina bar. The game is rolling out now, but depending on your device and region it may take some time for you to see it. On my device in the U.S., I am still only able to pre-register.

But keep checking your Google Play Store for the download so you can jump right in to battle!
