Android’s monthly security bulletin is here, bringing update security features to AOSP and new updates for the Pixel line and certain Nexus devices.

These security updates aren’t major updates to devices, but they do patch any potential exploits or vulnerabilities, so you definitely won’t want to skip them.

Google is rolling the updates out over the air to eligible devices, but you can also find factory images for the Pixel and Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P and 5X, Nexus 9, and the Nexus Player. This update is also ready for other OEMs to start rolling out, although that will obviously take some extra time.

If you really can’t wait for the OTA update and want to get things going on your own, don’t worry, we have a guide ready to walk you through it.
