It seems like Sony is moving faster than any other company when it comes to getting the latest version of Android on existing devices.

The company’s Xperia X and Xperia X Compact are next up to get a software update for Android 7.0 Nougat. Its build number is 34.2.A.0.266.

On Twitter, Sony revealed that Nougat is rolling out right now for two members of the Xperia X family. The Xperia X and Xperia X Compact join the Xperia X Performance and Xperia XZ in getting the software update wanted by so many people. Most companies, like Samsung, are still testing Nougat on devices with early 2017 being the expected release date. Sony, meanwhile, is wasting no time at all.

The software update from Sony is more than 1.2GB, and it’s rolling out on a region-by-region basis. So don’t be surprised if it’s weeks or months until your device gets Nougat in the form of a hefty software update distributed over-the-air.
