Project Fi’s referral program gets you and a friend $20

Now’s a perfect time to join Project Fi.

Anyone who’s been hesitant to join the service will want to know Google just launched a referral program for new and existing customers.

When you invite a friend to join Project Fi, you’ll both get a $20 credit applied to your next bill following their sign-up.

The terms of the referral program state an individual can refer up to 10 credits; therefore, you can get up to $200 in credits assuming you successful move ten people to Project Fi. It won’t be an easy task, but it’s certainly possible. And keep in mind group plans on Project Fi are not eligible for this referral program.

Here’s how to invite someone, written by a Project Fi expert:

  1. Open the Project Fi app
  2. Select Account
  3. Find the banner at the top and select Refer a friend. If you don’t see the banner, you can find your code by tapping the link at the bottom of the Project Fi app home screen.
  4. Tap the Refer a friend button and choose your preferred delivery method. Your code will also be copied to your clipboard.
  5. Once you’ve sent out invitations, come back to this screen to track your referrals’ status.

The referral program for Project Fi will close on January 11, and Google isn’t saying if it’ll come back in the future.
