Launch event for DirecTV Now happening on November 28

Prepared for AT&T’s live television streaming service? It’s coming this month.

AT&T’s public relations representative sent an invite earlier today to Talk Android for a launch event involving DirecTV. It is, of course, for DirecTV Now’s formal introduction. That event will be happening in New York City on Monday, November 28. There’s no better place to launch a service like DirecTV Now than one of the world’s biggest entertainment hubs.

The invite itself, which we can’t show you all of due to sensitive information, says the following:

Please join us for a special, invitation-only event to celebrate the launch of DirecTV Now — a new way to stream live TV.

When rolled out, AT&T and DirecTV will be using #MoreTVFreedom as the go-to promotional hashtag for DirecTV Now.

Based on what AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said at WSJD Live last month, DirecTV Now should cost at least $35/mo. But no one knows exactly what the package(s) will look like.

We’ll be there live on November 28 in New York City when DirecTV Now is officially official, so stick with Talk Android for continuing coverage on the future of television.

I heard it will be but so far it’s not confirmed. I have sling right now and i hate it. But it’s the only streaming service with AMC. Gotta watch Walking Dead…
