The Chromecast was a surprise hit by Google, and it’s already sold over 30 million units as of October. It’s arguably one of the most well-rounded streaming devices you can buy, considering it’s cheap and it has the backing of Google’s enormous Play Store.
But as well as the Chromecast is doing, Google wants it to do better and keep up that momentum. So, just like the heavy marketing that we’ve already seen in the Pixel brand, Google is dropping a slew of advertisements for the Chromecast going into the holiday season. They’re all up on YouTube and are regularly in rotation for users, showcasing the versatility and variety that the Chromecast offers.
Some ads talk about variety of content, some talk about convenience, and some just take a light-hearted approach trying to sell the ecosystem. There’s also a video with some otters.
