If this analyst is correct, Google will ship million of units of its new phone in 2016.

DigiTimes Research’s Luke Lin is projecting that Google will ship its Pixel to 3-4 million people in the final months of the year.

It’s nowhere near the number of shipments Apple and Samsung secure every quarter, but it’s enough to show Google intends to immediately push the device.

The analyst adds that the Pixel will “account for 40-50% of HTC’s smartphone shipments” for the second half of the year. This is while HTC’s involvement in the Pixel is extremely hard to find publicly. Only behind closed doors has Google confirmed it enlisted the Taiwanese company’s services to create the Pixel.

The Google Pixel goes on sale in select countries at the end of October. Remember to respond to our poll and let us know whether or not you’re one of the people buying Google’s 2016 flagship.
