When Lenovo announced its flagship family, Verizon was given exclusive selling rights from the start. Only Verizon customers could purchase the Moto Z, Moto Z Force, and Moto Z Play during the recent summer months; however, the time has come for the masses to get access to these devices.
Beginning today, you can place orders for the unlocked Moto Z and Moto Z Play.
Best Buy and Amazon are accepting pre-orders for the unlocked Moto Z and Moto Z Play with the release dates scheduled for next month.
Both carriers are selling the Moto Z and Moto Z Play for $699 and $449, respectively.
While the Moto Z arrives on October 2, the Moto Z Play isn’t expected until October 20.
It doesn’t appear that either retailer is running promotions for the Moto Z or Moto Z Play, so you’ll be paying the full price without any incentive.
Remember that both unlocked models are limited to GSM networks; therefore, Verizon and Sprint customers will not be able to use them properly. Everyone else, including T-Mobile and AT&T customers, are free to buy the unlocked Moto Z or Moto Z Play for seamless use.
