Android 7.0 Nougat rolling out to Android One phones

Google began rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat to its line of Nexus devices a couple weeks ago. Now, the new software update has begun its official rollout to Android One phones.

Similar to Nexus devices, Android One handsets get speedy Android updates, long before even flagships from big-name manufacturers like Samsung and LG.

Intended for the “next 5 billion,” Android One has been a roaring success. This latest update reiterates Google’s commitment to bringing the latest and greatest software Android has to offer to Android One handsets across the globe.

If you own an Android One phone, you should be getting a notification to download the new update shortly. If you haven’t yet, you can always try and check for the update manually in the Settings menu.

Google officially launched its Android One program almost two years in September.
