It looks like we could be getting a cheaper version of the HTC 10, only this upcoming smartphone will be called the HTC Desire 10. The HTC 10 is a great handset, but many aren’t willing to try it for a myriad of different reasons, such as the high price point and maybe even all the bad rep HTC has been getting. An HTC Desire 10 would at least help with the price factor, making the handset a bit more attainable.
This latest rumor comes by way of famous leakster Evan Blass. He tweeted early Sunday morning a photo of the HTC Desire 10’s rear camera. Blass didn’t provide any specifications, but did note that the handset could launch by the end of Q3 2016.
As for the photo Blass tweeted, it really is only a photo of what is allegedly the Desire 10’s rear camera. There isn’t much we can take from this, as it’s largely all of the standard features we’ve come to expect in a smartphone–dual-LED flash, laser autofocus, and so on.
Once again, Blass didn’t provide any expectations, but it wouldn’t be too far out to expect a less powerful smartphone to make it cheaper and more attainable for consumers.
Would you buy an HTC Desire 10?
