Leaked Honor 8 reportedly features dual 12MP rear cameras and a 2.5D glass rear panel

After the success of the Honor 5X (reviewed here), it seems that the budget brand is preparing to take the wraps off a new model called the Honor 8 sporting the dual 12MP camera setup seen on the Honor V8 and the Huawei P9, not forgetting the Honor 6 Plus of course. Join us after the break for more info.

According to the leaked information, the Honor 8 will also feature an aluminum frame with a 2.5D curved glass rear panel, a first for an Honor branded handset. It looks like the Honor 8 will come in two variants, with model numbers FRD-AL00 and FRD-TL10. As for the rest of the rumored specifications, the Honor 8 is alleged to have a 5.2-inch display of unspecified resolution, and will probably be powered by either the HiSilicon Kirin 950 or 955 processor, which, along with 4GB of RAM, should mean it runs like a dream. A battery with more than 3,000mAh is said to be present, along with a USB Type-C charging port.

While there’s no confirmed date for the launch of the Honor 8, it’s believed that it will be announced sometime in June, so there (hopefully) isn’t too long to wait. It will be interesting to see if the Honor 8 comes in with a lower price than the recently launched Huawei P9.

What else would you like to see featured on the Honor 8? And would you like to see it released in your region?
