Lenovo’s K3 Note gets Android 6.0 update in India

Last year’s Lenovo K3 Note has begun receiving the Marshmallow treatment in India.

The update is rolling out in waves via over-the-air. The updated build number is K50a40_S322_160314_ROW and weighs a hefty size. If you want to save your monthly data from hitting the limit, we recommend downloading and installing the update over Wi-Fi. You should also have your battery filed up to ensure there are no disruptions.

The update will bring your Lenovo K3 Note up to Android 6.0. Many devices are being updated straight to Android 6.0.1, but this is not the case here, which is a bit of a disappointment. However, it’s far better than getting nothing.

This update contains all the latest features from Google including doze mode for battery saving, Now On Tap for contextual awareness, and simplified app permissions to keep you in control of your data. If you don’t get the update notification right away, head into your device settings under ‘About’ and then ‘check for new software updates.’ This may speed up the process. Happy updating!
