Motorola Confirm Android Development

Reports circulating recently have rumoured that Motorola are beginning to focus more attention on the android platform. The company reportedly plan to increase their current Android dev team from 50 to 350.

Motorola have today responded to these claims, confirming that they are in fact working on Android development: "We're excited about the innovation possibilities on Android, and [we] look forward to delivering great products in partnership with Google and the Open Handset Alliance (OHA)," a Motorola spokesperson said, in a statement to BetaNews.

Motorola are one of the founding members of the Open Handset Alliance.
