So would you say that they’re committed to the platform? Holy cow. 20 Android phones released over the next 6 months… Thats 3-4 phones every month. It will be interesting to see if they’re going to be bringing some new hardware to market or if they’ll be using some old stuff.

Only time will tell!

Caution users that some of motorolas new Android based phones may be stuck with whatever version they come with. If it is 2.2 then great but for bad for users with options such as the Devour with Motoblur which appears to be stuck at 1.6 until Verizon and Motorola decide that they can solve the gremlins.

While the Devour is a nice social networking smart phone with wifi capabilities there still appears to be a growing rumble of owner outcries over this at the owners forum on motorolas own websupport site.

One disgruntled member and owner has launched a daily temper tantrum over the issue going as far as calling the CEO/PRES of moto to answer their frustration over lack of an upgrade date.

Reports are that moto is having troubles because of the motoblur integration but many aren’t buying that since an upgrade date has been given for other devices with the motoblur option.

Maybe you android gurus can help us Devour owners out by passing on your thoughts and OS insights.
