Just yesterday we told you that the upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc will feature 10-point multi-touch support, a far cry from the Xperia X10′s complete lack of multi-touch support. Well, the X10 won’t have to feel quite so bad as it is finally getting some kind of multi-touch support… well, in Japan at least.
Owners of the NTT DoCoMo version of the X10 will be receiving an update bringing pinch-to-zoom support, but that is the only gesture being added. While pinch-to-zoom is a great start, things like rotation in maps still won’t work, and it’s not even guaranteed to work in all multi-touch supported third-party apps. Am I the only one who is starting to think that Sony should offer a discount to X10 owners who opt to upgrade to an Arc when it is available?
