LG Optmus 2X Quadrant: How Does It Fare With Froyo?

We haven’t seen a fully official build of the LG Optimus 2X yet, but we know that it’s going to be sporting some pretty impressive hardware. At CES, LG showed off its full lineup of the Optimus line, and it was about as powerful as anything we’ve seen. LG will be bringing a lot to the table in the hardware department, in both the Optimus 2X and the Optimus Black. Even though this is a pre-production unit, it does quite well on the benchmarks. 2391.. lol.. slower then a Galaxy S on 2.1 with lagfix, really impressive.

However, the I/O looked way slower then on a Galaxy S without lagfix, LG also use RFS?
The FPS was really impressive though.
My guess is that the build showed had some bad I/O problems and I hope they will be fixed before release.

@curse: addy serious ? Did u saw the fps ? 100 fps on earth demo and 50 with the dna string is great ! With a DHD u get 50 at earth demo and like 20 fps with the dna string ! I think this is great without any optimizations ! and I would love to see a galaxy s without lagg fix and eclair getting about 2500 in quadrant! Most ppl I know with a galaxy s and stock get almost 900
So if u compare stock vs stock, its 900 vs 2500 !

Right, not impressive at all! LOL

I said the FPS was impressive! Galaxys S(with or without lagfix get about 58).
The I/O looked slower then a Galaxy S WITHOUT lagfix!
Galaxy S 2.1 WITH lagfix usually are around 2500, but then again Quadrant really don’t say anything.

I’m just worried about the slow I/O, even if the FPS is fast as hell, that’s for gaming. The I/O in the other hand, it may lag down the whole phone, even if it got great FPS. Do a Quadrant on your DHD and check the I/O it has to go faster.

Lol no the galaxy s with lag fix, 2.2, and overclock to about 1.3 ghz scores 1700 on quadrant, maybe 1850, dependding on your phone (since the chips are cut from one large board the processing power isn’t equal from one to the next). This result is at least 1500 slower than it will be when quadrant gets optimized for dual core. The info on quadrant only stated one core, meaning that the processors not getting taken advantage of fully. The full processing power will not be used unless the cpu speeds are specified, considering the dhd got 3000 on quadrant when overclocked to 2 ghz. A dual core at 2 gyz has to perform a least as well as that with bloat, but this phone will score higher when app is optimized and developers have made an aosp rom for the optimus. This baby may score up to 4000 one day.

Besides, the only reason why the galaxy s performs so well in general system smoothness and graphics is because of the powergr drx-9000 chip from imagination technologies. The hummingbird is pretty weak, considering the evo’s snapdragon rev 1 scores about 34 on linpack and the galaxy only scores 14 on 2.2 stock, on the high end. Evo on stock 2.2 scores about a 40 on the high end. There are several benchmarking tests you can perform, and the evo (just using as a basis, i dont want or have an evo) tops the galaxy s n all, and scores about a 2340 when overclocked trouble 1.3 ghz on stock 2.2, about 600 better than the galaxy s.
