The Samsung Infuse 4G for AT&T (mind you, that’s HSPA+ 4G, like HTC’s Inspire, not LTE 4G) just made its debut, and overall people are excited. Matt at Gizmodo is downright thrilled, and feels like this should have been the new Nexus phone. Sporting a 1.2GHz CPU and an 8 megapixel camera, this phone is really pushing the envelope. It’s got a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display (more subpixels per pixel than the already-great Super AMOLED screens), and runs an as-yet-unknown version of TouchWiz. Nicely, it is described as feeling exactly how you want a state-of-the-art phone to feel in your hands.
There is some concern over the battery life, as this has one of the biggest displays we’ve seen on an Android phone AND it’s one of AT&T’s first 4G phones, so we’ll have to see how well they can optimize the battery usage. Either way, it’s a solid offering, and we’ll be excited to see more of it.
