Vodafone customers still using an HTC Magic can throw their hands up in the air and wave them like they just don’t care cause they get an Android 2.2.1 update, and it’s going to make everything ok…Vodafone promises.

The following statement illustrates some of the features the update will include;

The latest Gmail and Android Market clients; ability to save applications directly onto an SD card; support for USB tethering so the phone can be used as a modem; improved support for Active Sync Exchange (email, contacts and calendar sync); enhancements to Bluetooth; and enhancements to the camera. The update also includes the latest Google security patches.

The update will not come to all users at once as it is rolled out in phases. Users will know they are ready to receive by getting a notification that the update is ready on their Magic device, prompting them to start the 2 step process in updating OTA.
