Bell, Virgin Mobile and SaskTel Galaxy S Vibrant gets Froyo

Galaxy S Vibrant owners with Bell, Virgin Mobile, and SaskTel are now able to grab the Froyo update for their device. Unfortunately, it looks like the only way to do this is by using Samsung Kies, so if you were expecting an OTA it looks like you’re out of luck.

The process looks to be a little long, so if you haven’t downloaded Kies and are unsure how to use it, Samsung has provided a full set of instructions and a download link here (including pictures). Happy Froyoing everyone!

    Samsung has temporarily disabled the upgrade of Samsung Galaxy S phones to Android 2.2 due to reports of issues and bugs arising during and after upgrades (as of December 17/10).

    Their team is currently working on a solution, but Samsung has not given an estimated time for resolution of this issue.
