New Motorola Twist Android Handset Revealed

French website Android France have managed to get their hands on a leaked spec sheet for a new unannounced Motorola Android phone, the Motorola Twist.

According to the report, the Motorola Twist has a unique square shape measuring 67×67 mm and featuring a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The new Twist handset will also be the first Motorola Android phone to include the latest Android 2.1 software and Motorola’s own MotoBlur user interface.

Other leaked specs include a 2.8-inch 320×240 touchscreen display, 3 mega-pixel camera, along with Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity.

The leaked document also reveals that the Motorola Twist is scheduled for release on June 10th.

    Great, now even further fragmentation in terms of screen size. none of my apps will render properly on that screen. I’m all for more Android handsets, but can’t they at least try to keep the aspect ratios reasonable?!

    From the shot above, it looks like it will always be in landscape mode (Why would it even need to change to portrait in a square screen. The problem with this is that a couple of my apps will deliberately only work in portrait (for reasons I won’t go in to). Do you reckon they’d still run on this phone?
