The Motorola Droid X is getting some new OTA update love. While it isn’t gingerbread, it does have some cool stuff packed inside, like an update that lets you play a demo version of Madden 2011… but only for about 5 minutes. There are more updates, such as:

  • Preloaded Madden NFL football game
  • Preloaded Adobe Flash Player 10.1
  • Preloaded MyVerizon application (v5)
  • Added Data Widget to home panel
  • Improved Android OS Froyo stability
  • Fixes to Exchange Activesync
  • Fixes to Visual Voicemail

The version # is 2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.USIBP_C_01.09.07P), and includes many more updates than those listed here. Want to see what they all are? Hit up the source link, or just check out the update for yourself on your Droid X.

Seriously…what the hell do i need Madden 11 pre-loaded on my phone for? what really sucks is you cant uninstall it. Annoying enough with the Motoblur and DLHC that we can not remove. Especially Motoblue, it is a very redundant app that you can not uninstall without rooting. Google really needs to restrict uninstallable apps from providers and manufacturers or they should at least upload a clean version of Android on their servers for each phone to re-flash back to a pure android only OS
