The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S will be the first Android phone to be powered by the Hummingbird Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), making it potentially one of the most powerful Android handsets to date.
The device has recently passed through the FCC which has revealed that the handset is going to launch on AT&T 3G bands – a move that will no doubt disappoint many Android enthusiasts.

The Samsung Galaxy S will include a 4-inch Super-AMOLED display with 800 x 480 resolution, Hummingbird GPU, 1GHz processor, and a 5 mega-pixel camera with support for 720p HD video recording at 30fps.
Powered by Android 2.1, the handset also features HSDPA connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Wi-Fi, and microSD expansion (up to 32GB).
As many of you will know, AT&T have a track record of locking down their devices, choosing to remove/replace Google’s apps in favor of their own.
