HTC Dream To Sell For $199

The Wall Street Journal are today reporting that the upcoming Android powered T-Mobile device will retail at $199 after contract.

The HTC Dream / G1 Android phone will include a 2 year contract and a price tag positioning it in direct competition with the Apple iPhone 3G.

T-Mobile will make the details official on the 23rd of September during their Android launch event in New York.

    I’m sure the price is aimed low to get the device into as many consumers hands as possible.

    I actually bought the TMO Shadow about 6 months ago. So I’d assume I do not qualify for an upgrade?
