How’s this for gadget pron…Samsung has leaked out a few details regarding its “Flagship” smartphone of 2011! It’s enough to make us drool for launch.

It’s sporting a 4.3-4.5 inch sAMOLED2 display screen, which tells us that Samsung has “upgraded” their AMOLED display to the next generation. It also boasts;

  • Android Gingerbread
  • 8 megapixel camera with LED flash
  • 1080p HD video recording
  • 14.4Mbps HSPA
  • Bluetooth 3.0
  • 1.2GHz CPU (possibly dual core)
  • 16GB onboard storage
  • WiFi b/g/n, DNLA, GPS

So if you were waiting for the “Nexus S”, would this be enough to curb your enthusiasm into this new “Galaxy S” family device? 2011 is going to be one heck of a year for mobile technology, and this looks like a GREAT start!

    It’s nice to see a new device that’s not even available yet running Gingerbread, when we can’t even seem to get Froyo (Official) on the current gen Galaxy S devices in the US. :(

    Can we stop copying iOS please? Stupid TouchWiz.

    I don’t mind them copying anything someone else has done if what they’re copying is worth it. People need to chill, because like it or not, the iPhone has been very successful even though myself wouldn’t own one. Even if it does come like that, with the iOS look. I’m sure half of you who get it will be customizing the heck out of it because it’s an Android system phone. Which means 9 out of 10 of us will probably change the looks completely after getting one.

    I’m looking forward to it, seeings how I’m using an Evo that HTC refuses to put out an updated version of their Sense Home Screen system for it, it’s still on 1.0. They’ve got 2.5 or better on newer devices and that just makes me upset for going with them on this. I even asked them directly if they plan on upgrading it anytime soon, they gave me a blanketed answer which told me no.
