You might not be able to score a ticket to the World Cup, but you can get pretty close with Google Maps. Google has added 12 major World Cup stadiums to its Street View, along with the painted streets of Brazil, so you can take a virtual tour of one of the biggest events in the world. There are also hundreds of images across different famous sites, including Iguaçu National Park and St. Michael of the Missions, to view in case browsing the stadiums isn’t enough for you.
Google also points out that many of their Maps features, including transit information, indoor mapping, and turn-by-turn directions will work in the areas where the World Cup is being held. Definitely handy if you’re going to be visiting any of those locations.
