Looks like LG is going to be entering the Android tablet game with a tablet sporting the ‘Optimus’ name branding. The LG Optimus Pad is said to be running Android Honeycomb OS with a dual-core Tegra 2 chip for a high performance mobile media experience. This 8.9″ tablet is rumored to see release in Q1 of 2011.

Nothing has been confirmed by LG as of now, however.

Is this perhaps better than what Samsung is offering with their Galaxy Tab? Let us know in the comments.
