Google Nexus One To Launch With Spotify USA App?

Spotify Android AppIt is being reported today that Google may be bringing the Spotify music service to the USA with the launch of their Nexus One handset.

The long awaited US edition of the popular music streaming service is rumored to be launching as soon a January 5th, with speculation that Spotify is in talks with Google to incorporate the Spotify Android app into Android 2.1

According to the TechCrunch article, Google are even prepared to cover the label fees for every user at $3 - $4 per month if the deal is to go ahead.

It is not yet known whether an eventual agreement was reached, but if it was, then it's likely the announcement will be made tomorrow as part of the January 5th Google Nexus One unveiling.

The Android Spotify app is currently available in the UK, Sweden, Spain, France and Norway, and can be downloaded from the Android Market.
