Amazon Appstore is turning 3, two weeks of deals incoming

I remember when the Amazon Appstore first launched back in 2011, I immediately installed it on my DROID X. Every morning, one of the first things I would do is check out what the Free App Of The Day was with anticipation. For those of us that have access to the Google Play Store, that got old pretty quickly. However, there are many people with a Kindle tablet that don’t have a choice. If you’re one of those people or you just like to use the Amazon Appstore, you will be happy to know that Amazon will be running some deals to celebrate the Appstore’s 3rd birthday.

The actual birthday is March 22, but the festivities have already begun.

Available today, you can find deals of up to 60% off on apps plus amazing promotions on in-app items for titles including Wheel of Fortune from Sony Pictures, Terraria from 505 Games and Warner Bros.’ Batman: Arkham City Lockdown.  As an added bonus, for a limited time, customers who buy in-app items within select titles including Asphalt 8, Animal Voyage, Kingdoms of Camelot, The Hobbit, Sonic Dash, World at Arms and Despicable Me: Minion Rush will receive 50% back on the purchase price in the form of Amazon Coins.

Over the next 2 weeks, Amazon will continue to offer deals and special Free Apps Of The Day, so be sure to keep checking every day.

Robert lives in upstate New York where he was born and raised. Technology was always his passion. His first computer was a Radio Shack TRS80 Color that used a cassette tape to save programs, and his first laptop was a Toshiba T1200FB that sported a CGA greyscale screen and two 720kb floppy drives (no hardrive). From the early 90’s through late 2011, he only owned Motorola phones starting with the MircroTAC all the way through to the Droid X. He broke that streak when he bought the Galaxy Nexus. Now he's sporting a Galaxy Note 4, and absolutely loves it. He has a wonderful wife and a 6 year old son. In his free time he enjoys sports, movies, TV, working out, and trying to keep up with the rapid fast world of technology.
