We’ve bee hearing a lot from Verizon lately, especially about the fact that they’re thinking of tiering their data plans. Well, plan no more, as Verizon is now rolling it out. According to Engadget, VZW brought their new tiered data pricing into the ring yesterday, with options at:
- $29.99 / month – unlimited
- $14.99 / month – 150 MB
Either one of these plans can go with the newer DROID phones, but you’ll definitely have to keep an eye on your data usage. The main thing to remember is that Android phones are, by nature, data consumers.
To top of Verizon’s “new things” for the week, the company is also doing some testing on new any mobile anytime minutes, much the way Sprint handles theirs. The plans are currently being tested in:
- Oklahoma
- Arkansas
- Louisiana
- Mississippi
Along with “select markets” in:
- Texas
- Tennessee
- Florida
It looks like the plans range in price from $60 to $130 for individual and family plans ranging from 450 to 2000 minutes, and the plans are scheduled to go through the end of the year.
