Motorola sending KitKat update to Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra

In December, Motorola tried updating the Verizon Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra to KitKat. Unfortunately, they had to pull the update due to issues that were bricking devices. It’s looking like Verizon and Motorola have solved those issues, as today Motorola has started rolling out the same update to devices again.

For the most part, the update appears to be identical to what Motorola originally sent out to devices,  so they haven’t added any features while you were waiting. Let us know in the comments if your Droid is seeing the update yet.

Droid MAXX. I’ve had this phone for 3 months and not one single problem. I took the update last night on the 15th and my phone has crashed twice today. Apps constantly freezing up and I can’t hear the volume hardly at all anymore and it is turned all the way up on everything. so not happy with this kit kat update. I hope they actually come out with an update to fix this or I will be getting a new phone. I am not at all impressed with Google’s updating
