Let me start by saying that I’ve worked in a lot of bars and restaurants in my days. I’ve served, bartended, managed, pretty much every position you could work (yes i humbly cooked and did dishes too). There’s always been a need to have a better system to prevent customer walk outs on a bill, settle bill payment disputes, prevent customers for having to wait for their check when their server is busy, etc. The list goes on and on. If you’ve ever worked in the restaurant/service industry, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Thankfully, technology is finding ways to make these problems obsolete. And this Android App is no different, it’s called TabbedOut by ATX Innovation.
TabbedOut will let you save your payment information and credit cards while letting you open a tab in the establishment you’ve just arrived at (See list of locations here).
You can close off your tab simply by paying from your Android device, thus you’re not having to wait for your server to come back with the bill, only to come back again after you’ve given away your credit card (when its time to go, its time to go!). Also, the server doesn’t need to worry as their system has your credit info to close the tab off in the event you’ve walked out “forgetting” to pay your tab (or maybe its been a long night under the influence).
