Google Calendar gets an update that improves accepting event invitations from within Gmail

Google_Calendar

Google is continuing their wave of app updates, with Calendar being the latest to receive an update. It’s not a major update, but now if you’re invited to an event from within Gmail, you can respond to the event right there. Previously, trying to respont would put you in the calendar app to actually make your decision, but now you just get a simple little toast notification of whether you reply yes, no, or maybe. It’s a simple change, but it’s just big enough to make the integration between the two apps feel much more polished.

Google Calendar was one of our picks for the best available Android calendar apps, and this little tweak makes it that much better. You can check out that list here, and then grab the download below, courtesy of Android Police, if you don’t want to wait for Google’s staged rollouts.
