After we reported yesterday that Motorola was searching for Android 2.1 beta testers for the Motorola Cliq, someone turned around and made it available for everyone from Motorola’s Support site. After it was leaked out however, Motorola disabled the support page to prevent any Cliq owners (other than those who signed up to beta test) the ability to run the update from the Support site.
Motorola has put up a few details on what you’ll need to do to prepare your Cliq for the 2.1 update when they DO decide to officially release Android 2.1 to all Cliq owners. One of which is that the update will use approximately 100MB of internal memory as well, so you may find you’ll need to remove a few apps to make room.
