Google releases list of their Best Apps of 2013


Google has named their best apps of 2013. It is not clear how Google went about picking the 15 titles as the best ones for 2013. The good news though is that all but two of them are free, so there is little risk in giving them a try to see whether you agree with Google. The titles include:

  • Duolingo: Learn Languages Free – an app to help you learn Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian or English
  • JackThreads – an app for users to access the members-only online shopping club for men’s fashions
  • Circa News – an app to read up on all the latest headline news as determined by the developer’s curators
  • Toca Hair Salon 2 – a kid-friendly game putting you behind the chair as you run a hair salon
  • We Heart It – an app to help you access happiness inducing photos and videos
  • Umano: News Read to You – a news reader that lets you hear the news literally read to you
  • Runtastic Running & Fitness – a workout tracker to help you get in shape
  • The Whole Pantry – an app to help you eat right by providing nutritional information and recipes
  • theScore: Sports & Scores – follow your favorite teams with the help of this app
  • Magisto Video Editor & Maker – turn video clips and pictures into awesome movies
  • Wunderlist – To-do & Task List – a popular app for creating lists, including to-do lists
  • 500px – Inspiring Photos – a social media platform for photographers
  • SigFig – Stocks & Investments – keep track of your investments with SigFig
  • TuneIn Radio – access to live radio stations and 2 million podcasts, shows and concerts for free
  • Photo Editor by Aviary – a quick and easy way to help you get to editing your photos
