T-Mobile’s MyTouch 4G shows off its color palette

What’s this? T-Mobile’s MyTouch 4G (previously known as the MyTouch HD/Emerald) looks to be coming out with 4 different colors: Black, Plum, Red, and White. Honostly, it’s refreshing to see a bit of color in the land of smartphones. Usually the release of different and new colors is reserved for the country of origin, or for when the carrier (or handset maker) wants to draw in more customers by releasing a “special edition” color.

In case you forgot, the MyTouch 4G will be the 2nd phone (after the G2) to run on T-Mobiles 4G (HSPA+) network, granting faster data speeds. It will also be one of the first phones on T-Mobile to feature a front-facing camera and support video conferencing. Thinking of picking one up? What color do you fancy?

I’m kinda partial to the white one myself but I’m not going to be getting one anyway since my current contract with my original MyTouch 3G doesn’t run out for another 10 months or so. And not only that, I’m not sure I like the way this phone looks anyway in any color. I don’t like the way the buttons are designed and layed out on the front. It just has a “toyish” look I’m not too fond of. Also I just got the Froyo update on my MT3G and that sort of makes it feel like I just got a whole new phone so that’s another reason (for me at least) to not go and buy this phone. Normally I would go out and spend money on this next best phone when they come out and this one certainly is a big step up from what I have now but also in a lot of ways it’s only just “a little better” so I’ll just keep admiring it and reading about it online with you guys but I won’t be getting one. I can’t wait to see what T-Mobile is gonna bring to the table around the holiday season next year after my current contract runs out.

I have the black one amd its awesome. Its sturdy which is great bcuz I dont like the plasticky feeling ones. Its very fast as well and I love the camera. My only regret is when I went to get one nobody had the plum one which is wat I really wanted so now im stuck with the plain black.
