The journey to getting BBM for your Android device has been a long one. It’s been more than a month since the original announced release date, and still everyone doesn’t have the ability to use the messaging client. Blackberry has a wait list for those interested in signing up for a BBM account, but those who registered on BlackBerry’s Web site earlier this month won’t need to wait in line, and can begin using the app immediately.
If you haven’t preregistered, there is a quicker way to start using BBM. Just open the app, enter your email address, click next, and force close the app by going to Settings, Apps, BBM, and click Force Close. After relaunching, you should be able to create an account and get a unique PIN. It’s a trick that works for now, but probably won’t for long when Blackberry catches on.
