Rumors: Motorola may have the first Tegra2 powered, Android 3.0 phone

File this under rumors, but word on the streets (or in this case, the internets) is that Motorola is working on an Nvidia Tegra 2 powered device running Android’s next major release – Gingerbread.  This would make sense, seeing as how when the original Motorola Droid came out last year, it was the first device to release Android 2.0 out into the wild.

Whether or not this device will be available for the holiday season is unknown.  We would at least expect it to show up at CES in January if anything, especially since the other big rumor is that Motorola wants this device on multiple carriers this time around.  Not surprising since it seems to have worked out well for the Samsung Galaxy S line of phones.

The other mystery remaining is whether or not Motorola will throw a custom skin atop this flagship device.  Google may have some influence on this if it’s the first Android 3.0 device, as they may want to show off their newest creation in its raw form.  All I know is, I love me some gingerbread cookies during Christmas and I hear Tegra 2′s taste good too.  Let’s see if wishes really do come true.

It would be great if Motorola, and all manufactures just leave Android as stock as possible!
