Verizon has released a FiOS on Demand app for all the major smartphone operating systems, including Android. The app allows you to rent, download, and view “Flex View” movies on your device, and also to push this content to up to 4 separate devices, including a FiOS set-top-box.

So far, the app is only available on a limited number of devices, including the Droid X and Droid 2. Verizon is promising that more phones will be supported soon, so stay tuned. For now, if you’re a Droid X or Droid 2 owner, you can scan the QR code below or search for FiOS on Demand in the market.

Note that this version of On Demand differs from that offered on your TV. No free access to TV episodes, etc. It’s basically Verizon’s version of the Blockbuster app. All paid content.

As usual per Verizon, no free lunch. Pay to play, sucka.
