Whilst there are a number of unofficial Facebook apps available on the Android Market, Android users will be pleased to hear that Facebook is expected to release an official app for the service later this week.
According to an unknown Techcrunch source, the application will be more limited than the iPhone version and will be built around Facebook’s new Stream API with stream and status updates.
The official Facebook Android app is rumored to hit the Android Market at some point this week.
