CDMA Version of Samsung Galaxy S IV (SCH-I959) Pops up in Benchmark Test

It seems like only yesterday Samsung released its flagship handset, the Galaxy S III, to a grateful public.  The specs were impressive at the time, and the price was affordable compared to existing and emerging competitors.

Samsung is not one to let its success go to its head.  Their impressive marketing budget, coupled with their zest for innovation has helped them climb to the top in a predominantly mobile marketplace.  Their latest handset, the Galaxy S IV  won’t be an exception to the rule!

The Galaxy S IV (SCH-i959), said to release to China Telecom, boasts some impressive benchmark results to say the least.  Specs listed were:

  • 1.8Ghz Quad-core (either Exynos or Snapdragon)
  • 1920 x 1080 FHD display
  • Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1

Overall score as reported by AnTuTu Benchmark was an impressive 26,250!  Compared with the test results of 14,544 from the HTC DROID DNA, you can see how impressive this score really is.

It all looks good. But will u.s. see the quad core or will it be like my S3 and only get a dual core. Also i hope they fix the issue with storage control.I had the S2 and could manually move some apps to memory card, not so with the S3.Didnt realize this until i had already bought a expensive card. And its close to useless in my phone. And yes i’ve tried several move to sd card apps.none work.So will have to wait and see if S4 is going to be worth the move. Now that there are some worthy contenders out there.

The S2 was partitioned to give 2GB of it’s 16GB for apps. People complained about not being able to use the whole internal memory. Samsung did something about it with the S3 allowing the whole 16GB to be used instead of it being partitioned to a certain amount yet people still complain. I don’t get it…

The Exynos 5 Octa, an SoC that was unveiled not even 2 months ago, won’t be in the S4, which is expected to be unveiled less than 2 weeks from now.
