HTC gives us a closer look at the Desire HD (video)

The new HTC Desire is definitely something to be desired! With its unibody aluminum frame, to its 4.3 inch display screen, the new HTC Desire HD is going to make its mark in the mobile world. After looking at the video below, I’m sure Apple is wondering what they can do next to keep their iPhone 4 on top of the market.

Here are some more features in the HTC Desire HD that we should get excited about.

  • 8 MP camera with dual flash
  • 720p HD video recorder
  • full Adobe Flash support for web
  • “Quick lookup” – integrated ebook reader with search capability within publications
  • built in camera effects and filters
  • built in audio includes Dolby Mobile technology
  • video sharing on home network with DLNA technology
  • “Locations” – app with downloaded  maps and compass integration
  • “HTC Sense” – online control for your mobile phone

Continue after the break for more information, and to view the video from HTC.

Aside from the amazing camera and video capabilities, the feature that got me most excited was “HTCsense.com” integration. If you’ve left your phone on your bedside table when you already left for work, (like I’ve made the horrible mistake of doing once) you can log in to HTCsense.com and control your phone remotely online. Forward your calls, your messages, or secure your phone as well. If you lost it, make it ring loud. If it’s gone for good, you can lock it up and wipe the data, or post a message on the screen letting anyone who finds it return back to you.

well, you’ve got the Evo and the Incredible for a while, this is mainly a European Evo

Yes, yes, but the Evo is on Sprint (yuck!) and the Droid X is on Verizon. For the T-Mobile customer, we have no larger screened Android options.
